About Valhall Lodge
Valhall Lodge was organized on March 24, 1912 with 27 members. It originally was an all male, all Norwegian organization. You had to speak Norwegian to join. Over the next 95 years we've had many changes, and today men, women and children are welcome to join. We have many members that speak Norwegian, but that is not a requirement. You do not have to be Norwegian, or of Norwegian descent, to join. Our meetings are held in English.
We currently have over 300 members. Visit our History page to read about our lodge history, as written by our historian/librarian Lorraine Tucker.
Valhall Lodge is part of Sons of Norway, which is the world's largest ethnic fraternal benefit society. Sons of Norway began in 1895 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There are over 400 lodges in the United States, Canada and Norway with over 60,000 members.
